How billing works
Your charge is calculated once per billing cycle from two numbers: the orders you had and the protection fees you collected that cycle. The rules are applied in this order:
- Under 50 orders is always free, no matter how much you collected.
- $20 or less in collected protection fees is always free, no matter how many orders you had.
- For stores with 50+ orders: $4.99 when you collected $50 or less, and $9.99 when you collected $100 or less (small-store discount).
- Once you collect more than $100, the standard order-volume tiers apply: Essential $29.99 up to 500 orders, Growth $49.99 up to 1,000 orders, and Enterprise - Plus $99.99 for unlimited orders.
Crossing a threshold mid-cycle bills the matching price for that cycle. Amounts sitting exactly on a boundary bill at the lower price.

If you have 50+ orders but collected $100 or less in protection fees, you pay a reduced flat rate instead of a standard tier:
- Collected $20 or less → free
- Collected $50 or less → $4.99/mo
- Collected $100 or less → $9.99/mo

- Why was I charged this month when last month was free?
- Billing is recalculated every cycle from that cycle’s activity. If this cycle you crossed a threshold — reaching 50 orders, or collecting more than $20, $50, or $100 in protection fees — the matching rate applies for that cycle, even if last cycle was $0.
- Do you take a percentage of my protection fees?
- No. There is no revenue share. You keep 100% of every protection fee you collect. The monthly charge is a flat plan fee based on your order volume and fees collected — nothing is skimmed from the fees themselves.
- When am I charged?
- Charges are assessed per billing cycle based on that cycle’s orders and collected protection fees. The app is free to install, the Free tier is always $0, and paid tiers include a 3-day free trial.
- What counts as an order?
- An order is an order processed through your store during the billing cycle. Order count is one of the two inputs — along with the protection fees you collected — used to determine your rate for that cycle.
- How do I know which tier I’m in?
- Your rate is decided each cycle by two numbers: how many orders you had and how much protection fee you collected. Under 50 orders is always free. $20 or less collected is free. Then $4.99 (up to $50 collected) and $9.99 (up to $100 collected) apply to smaller stores; above $100 collected you move to the standard order-volume tiers — $29.99 up to 500 orders, $49.99 up to 1,000, and $99.99 above that.
- What happens if I exceed my limit mid-cycle?
- If you cross a threshold partway through a cycle, the matching price for that cycle applies (auto-upgrade). Amounts sitting exactly on a boundary bill at the lower price.
